Crap, didn’t hear that Lynn Tait had died before reading this.

Had the pleasure of seeing him play with Prince Buster a couple/few years back. He was amazing, as always.

Y’know, I remember the band’s message on MySpace saying something like “Just had a breakup? Listen to this!” and as it turned out I had just gone through a breakup, and this album quickly became the theme music for getting over that breakup. I mean, I must have listened to it 50 or more times.

I listen to it occasionally even today — I think it’s still an amazing album — certainly one of the best Canadian ska albums of all time (and I own most of them!).

Thanks for this post — it’s a very interesting read.
